Emilia Hannuksela works at the UN Youth Office as the Youth, Peace and Security Team Lead. With over five years of experience at the United Nations, she pioneered the Youth, Peace, and Security portfolio at the Office of the Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth and supported its transition into the newly established UN Youth Office. She has an academic background in International Human Rights law and is an advocate for human rights and peace. She identifies as a global citizen and has worked and studied in multiple countries while advancing youth and child rights.
